JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN ADDS NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan (JASWM) recently announced the addition of four new board members, Heather Haydo, Marcus Kole, Nikki Romence and Tyler Sheerer, for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. “We are so pleased to welcome these individuals,” said Laura Lutterbeck, JASWM District Director. “These are all very accomplished professionals with incredible talents to share with our organization.”
Heather Haydo is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for CTS Telecom. She has seventeen years of accounting and finance experience in a range of industries and, prior to her time at CTS, served as the Director of Finance for Lynx Network Group (now Everstream) and Controller for Alliant Healthcare Products. Haydo came to the area from Grand Haven to attend Western Michigan University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. She is an avid cyclist, sports enthusiast and nature lover.
Marcus Kole is a commercial banker with First National Bank of Michigan where he has served in that role for the last two and a half years and in the banking industry for more than nine years. He received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Michigan University. In his free time, Kole enjoys playing and watching sports as well as spending time with friends and family.
Nikki Romence is the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources at Bronson Healthcare. She is responsible for system-wide planning, directing, coordinating and leadership of designated HR functions including employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits and HR information systems.
Romence began her career at Bronson as a medical-surgical nurse and has held various leadership roles over the past 25 years. These include nursing and customer service roles, and in continuous improvement before taking a leadership position in human resources.
In addition to an Associate’s degree in nursing, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and Master’s degree in Organizational Management, both from Ashford University, Forbes School of Business & Technology. She serves on the MHA Healthcare HR Conference Planning Committee and MHASC HR Committee. She is also a member of the Forbes HR Council. In her free time, Romence enjoys spending time with family and friends and visiting the lakeshore.
Tyler Sheerer is the Vice President and CFO at Fabri-Kal. He is responsible for providing leadership to the organization, as well as leading the finance, accounting and information technology departments. Sheerer also oversees the corporate human resource functions. Prior to joining Fabri-Kal, Sheerer spent approximately ten years in public accounting at BDO, Kalamazoo. Sheerer graduated from Goshen College in Goshen, IN, and is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children.
