JA of Southwest Michigan Events

At JA of Southwest Michigan, we host several events throughout the year to raise money to support our programming. These events also engage the community in our efforts to reach students! Whether you'd like to get involved on an individual level or as a business through event sponsorship, we offer several ways for you to support our work while having a great time!

2021 JA Titan Business Challenge

When: Friday, December 17, 2021
Where: Western Michigan University
Time: 8:00 AM EST

The Junior Achievement Titan program is intensely focused to bring relevance, authenticity and application into everyday learning to energize students around their future possibilities. Students learn about business principles and entrepreneurship as well as have the opportunity to go head-to-head against students from across the region.


2021 JA Virtual 5K

Where: Virtual Run

Welcome to the 2nd Annual JA Virtual 5K Run! Join in on the fun while supporting a local mission to raise funds for Financial Literacy, Work Readiness, and Entrepreneurship K-12 programs.


2021 JA of Southwest Michigan Annual Golf Scramble

The JA of Southwest Michigan Golf Scramble is an exciting golf event that incorporates golf, prizes, food and fundraising!


JA Passport to STEM: A Virtual Event

When: Thursday, May 06, 2021
Where: Virtual
Time: 8:30 AM EST

The JA Passport to STEM: A Virtual Experience will reach hundreds of 7th and 8th-grade boys and girls in the greater Southwest Michigan area. In a 2-hour online event, JA introduces these students to female mentors who work in STEM-related fields and shows them the exciting possibilities for their future. After a TED-style talk from inspirational STEM women, mentors use the JA It's My Future curriculum to encourage students to ask questions about their own futures and urge
them to consider a career in STEM.


JA Virtual Career Speaker Series Event

When: Thursday, March 25, 2021
Where: Virtual
Time: 8:30 AM EST

Designed to bring information about Michigan careers to students in a virtual environment. Five speakers from different professional backgrounds will share
information about their careers with the students.
