JA OF SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN ADDS NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan (JASWM) recently announced the addition of two new board members, Deborah Dingwall and Aaron Klamer, for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. “We are so pleased to add these individuals to our board,” said Laura Lutterbeck, JASWM District Director. “Both Deb and Aaron are accomplished professionals with incredible talents to share with our organization.”
Aaron Klamer is a native of Zeeland, MI and moved to Kalamazoo in 1994 to attend Western Michigan University. Finishing with a BA in English and Philosophy, Klamer went on to receive his MA in Professional Writing from WMU in 2002. He has been working for local internet provider CTS Telecom since 1998, where he is currently a business development coordinator. Klamer has served as both a committee and classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of Southwest Michigan. In his spare time he manages a softball team and enjoys music, reading, and spending time with his family and cats.
Deborah (Deb) Dingwall is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska and has resided in Battle Creek since 1990. She began her career with the Kellogg Company in 1978, serving in the Omaha manufacturing facility. Her roles included front line supervisor and plant purchasing manager. In 1990, Kellogg moved her to global headquarters to become the premium purchasing manager for Kellogg North America. In
2001, Dingwall left the Kellogg Company to assume the role of president of Junior Achievement of South-Central Michigan where she was awarded the Karl Flemke Award, in recognition of outstanding leadership in 2004. In 2005, she stepped into the role of vice president of midwest operations for JA Worldwide. She returned to Kellogg Company in 2007 serving in several capacities including launch project manager for morning foods before retiring in 2016 as director of marketing and sales procurement. Most recently, Dingwall has served as a career transition coach with Lee Hecht Harrison, a global outplacement organization; an adjunct professor for the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University; and presently is a project manager for snacks innovation at Kellogg Company, working for William Barr & Associates.
Her community involvement has included service on the boards of Charitable Union, Heritage Battle Creek and the Junior League of Battle Creek. She currently serves on the Miller Foundation board as the board chair.
Dingwall holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from Western Michigan University. She is an active cyclist and yoga practitioner and enjoys traveling in the United States and the around the world with her husband, Adam, a Battle Creek native.
